Liverpool have announced the completion of a 'deal in principle' for German Under-21 international Emre Can from Bayer Leverkusen.

It's a case of 'Yes we Can' for Liverpool as the club confirmed a deal in principle for the ex-Bayern Munich midfielder. The player had been tracked by Brendan Rodgers and it now looks as if Can will become a Liverpool player on July 1st after they met his buyout clause at Bayer Leverkusen. The player can play for both Turkey and Germany at senior international level but is said to want to declare for Germany having played for them all through his under-age career to date. Can joins Rickie Lambert as Liverpool's first new signings of the summer.
