German newspaper Bild reports that Liverpool have started spending those Champions League shekels with a deal all but sealed for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Emre Can.
The youngster is very highly rated in the German top flight and represents quite a coup for Reds manager Brendan Rodgers, who has also been linked with Bayern Munich’s Swiss midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri.
Can is an all action midfielder with excellent close control and an eye for goal.
