The Spurs players are believed to have been training at the Enfield Training Centre on the day the alleged crimes took place.

61-year old Paul Lovell will go on trial in London today, facing alleged charges of having sex with a sheep and interfering with a cow in a field next to Tottenham Hotspur’s training facility in Enfield in North London, a state of the art facility which the club moved to in recent seasons.

IT worker Lovell was allegedly caught trying to perform a sexual act with the sheep in September last year, while prosecutor Robert Hutchinson subsequently applied to amend the charge Lovell faces to include a second creature, thought to be a cow.

Lovell, who faces being prosecuted for ‘committing sexual acts or acts with animals’, denies the charges and was originally released on bail on the condition that he does not return to Whitewebbs Lane or Archers Wood in Enfield.

His trial gets underway in London later today.
