40 minutes a week, 35 hours a year or 3 months in an average life – that’s how much time most men dedicate to watching porn.
A survey from website Help Porn Addiction has revealed the stats and, interestingly, women don’t come too far behind use when it comes to settling in for a bit of blue.
On average, according to the survey results, women spend 19 minutes per week looking at pornographic material.
Dr Chris Forester warned of the consequences of over-indulgence in porn for both sexes.
“Porn is a big part of peoples’ lives and time spent looking at it totals a massive amount , but it can have a negative impact on many people,” he said.
“Just as enjoying a few drinks is fine, but alcoholism affects a significant minority, it’s human nature to be interested in watching porn, but for some it can ruin their lives.”
The survey was conducted using 1,000 men and 1,000 women, from which one in six men confirmed they buy porn.
