According to The Sunday Times, Patrice Evra voted for Luis Suarez as the player of the year.

The Manchester United full-back and the Liverpool striker were involved in one of the stories of 2011, when Suarez was accused of racially abusing the Frenchman at a league game at Anfield. Suarez was fined £40,000 and banned for eight games after being found guilty. However, Evra has now voted Suarez as the Premier League's best player for the second year in succession, according to an unnamed player in the United dressing room. The Old Trafford insider said: "Suarez is an outstanding footballer, but no-one at United could believe it when Patrice voted for him. "It shows the measure of the man that he didn't allow what happened between them to cloud his judgement. "He clearly doesn't bear a grudge."
