David Walshe and Paul Kimmage have been two of the most vocal critics of the current UCI set up, and both took to Twitter yesterday to talk about Pat McQuaid
Yesterday, Cycling Ireland failed to back Pat McQuaid in his campaign to be elected as UCI President for the third time, which came as great news to both David Walshe and Paul Kimmage, two of his fiercest critics.
Walshe was loathe to quote the infamous Oliver Cromwell when congratulating the cycling community in Ireland on rejecting McQuaid, but he felt that the quote best suited the situation.
While it was poetic and apt, Kimmage had another important figure in Irish history in mind who had a quote that would suit the situation well: Roy Keane.
@DavidWalshST No, David, Roy Keane put it best: “Take that you c***!”

Keane’s quote is a little bit more extreme, but it certainly captures all the ill-will that Kimmage has towards the current UCI President Pat McQuaid.
