No sign of Roy, but the new head honcho looks pleased with his first task as Ireland manager.

Of course bigger challenges lie in store for O’Neill than simply holding up a green jersey for a photographer, but the new Irish manager looks to be revelling in his role. O’Neill will get to speak to the media properly for the first time this Saturday – his brief chat with Adrian Chiles on ITV last Tuesday hardly counts – and if this picture is anything to go by, he is every bit as enthusiastic as many Irish supporters have been since the news broke of the new management team. While we are more accustomed to seeing the former Celtic manager in a tracksuit, this picture would indicate that he might be about to up the fashion stakes considerably. Slick.
