Pic: A Premier League football fan changed his surname to the name of his team’s ground

Just for the "banter' of course...

Just for the “banter” of course…

Just how much you love your favourite Premier League football club can be measured in many different ways and these questions usually weed out the bandwagoners from the die-hard supporters.

Do you have the latest jersey?
Do you have the latest full kit?
How many games do you travel over to see?
Do you know who managed the team in 1957?
Do you know someone “who works at the club”?
Do you use the phrases, “[insert player name] in the youth team is going to be a superstar”?
Have you got a tattoo of the club crest on your face?

Well now there’s another question you can add to that list – Do you have the name of your club’s ground as your surname?

That’s a relevant question because Tottenham fan Gary Lane used deed poll to change his name to Gary White Hart Lane. Gary… White Hart Lane, we kid you not…

Look, we’re not ones to judge but Gary, you’re 55-years-old and you’ve changed your surname to the name of a Premier League football ground, what the hell?

The quote “I like a bit of banter” absolutely cracked us up so we had to post this…

Let’s just Gary’s wife’s name isn’t Elaine…
