Pic: Are these going to be Man United’s new kits next season?

We’re not entirely sure if these are real or fake, but we certainly think that they look pretty sharp.

We’re not entirely sure if these are real or fake, but we certainly think that they look pretty sharp.

Man United fans could do with a bit of cheering up at present and we dare say that the vast majority of them would be happy if leaked images of what are purported to be their new kits for next season turn out the be the genuine article.

The Red Devils are believed to be currently in negotiations over a new kit deal that will come into effect when their current agreement with Nike comes to an end next year, but from next season, their shirts will bear the logo of Chevrolet, who will pay in the region of £53 million a year for that privilege.

Leaked images of home, away and third kits have been doing the rounds – bizarrely bearing the name of Eric Cantona on the back for some reason – this week and although none of them are a radical departure from the shirts that they currently wear or have worn in recent seasons, a few subtle changes, such as the elongated v-neck collar, the diagonal lines and most obviously, the change in the sponsor’s logo, do make quite the difference.

Like we said, we don’t know if these will end up being genuine or not, but on first impressions they certainly look good to us.

So what’s the verdict United fans, yay or nay?
