The irony here is almost too much for us…
England and Italy has been very entertaining so far in World Cup Group D. Two goals and two minutes has seen the game explode into life and the English bench exploded with excitement when Daniel Sturridge slotted in the equaliser.
One of the members of the England staff, physio Gary Lewin, has come out of the celebration pretty badly as you can see…
He’s reportedly suffered a broken ankle and the BBC’s Dan Walker says it looked pretty serious…
Gary Lewin flew off the bench along with the rest of the England staff. Immediately collapsed and starting banging the ground.
