Padraig McMahon’s goal for Laois last Friday gets written up in a rather amusing way.
Courtesy of Kevin Fitzpatrick and the Laois Nationalist, we have this cracking typo from the famous Friday Night Qualifier between Laois and Carlow.
The paper, rightly, gives us a detailed description of the most crucial score of the game, Padraig McMahon’s first half goal, the score that kept Justin McNulty’s men in touch just before the break. They would then go on to take advantage of the wind and dominate Carlow in the second half.
But the Laois Nationalist report makes the sort of mistake we all make every so often so we have a lot of sympathy. Just check the highlighted paragraph.
