What do Newcastle fans think of Director of Football Joe Kinnear? Not a whole lot if this banner is anything to go by.
The former Irish international and Wimbledon manager was brought back to the Magpies in what was a fairly controversial move by Mike Ashley a couple of months back and he hardly endeared himself to fans with a quite bizarre and at times unintentionally hilarious interview given to TalkSport shortly after taking the job.
Having lost the opening game of the season 4-0 to Manchester City and with one of their best players Yohan Cabaye seemingly on the verge of leaving the club, Magpies’ fans aren’t the most contented lot and they made it clear who bears the brunt of their anger with a banner brandished at St. James’ Park ahead of the clash with West Ham today, their first home league game of the season.

The fans displaying the banner had it confiscated prior to kick-off, but it goes to show the instability of the manager/owner/Director of Football relationship on Tyneside and that the fans might not be willing to put up with it for much longer.
