A QPR fan was devastated to come home and find out his dog has eaten his play-off final tickets (seriously), but up stepped Charlie Austin to be the hero of the hour.
We’ve all used that classic in school, ‘Sorry sir, the dog ate my homework.’ Just me then? Well, this guy’s dog ate his coveted tickets for the play-off final between QPR and Derby County this weekend. He arrived home from work to see that the dog had got to the mail before he did and well..this happened…

But then, up stepped QPR striker Charlie Austin to be a bit of a legend…
Feel for the Qpr fan who has had his tickets destroyed by his dog surely there is a something @OfficialQPR can do for this fan #weRtogether

QPR then responded to tell the fan to come to the box office where he would have his tickets reprinted.
@chazaustin9 @OfficialQPR Thanks a lot Charlie, all sorted now! Really appreciate the tweet… #hero

The fan’s brother sent this rather epic picture to him after the saga…

Hurray for happy endings!
Hat-tip to Paul Darren O’Leary for the heads up with this one
