Arizona Cardinal Rashad Johnson only noticed when the tip stayed in his glove after a play.
Already today we have had a baseball player damage his knee, and an ice hockey player show off his broken jaw. Now, to complete the American sport injury hat-trick, here’s what NFL player Rashad Johnson’s hand looked like after he lost the tip of his finger during a game over the weekend.
Johnson tried to tackle New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles (main pic) but in that attempt, he somehow managed to sever the tip of the middle finger of his left hand.
Johnson only became aware of the extent of the injury when he went to the sidelines, took off his glove, and the tip remain inside. Just imagine that happening to you for a second.
As is the way these days, Johnson posted pictures of his gruesome freak injury on Twitter.

Surgeons reattached the tip but there is yet no word on when he will be back in action for the Cardinals.
