Those wonderful folks at @OldSchoolPanini have posted some absolute crackers for Irish fans today.
Tomorrow it will be 19 years since the 1994 World Cup final. Admittedly that was a woeful game, best remembered now for Robert Baggio’s shootout miss but it was a tournament that Ireland had a rollercoaster time in too.
From beating eventual finalists Italy to sweltering in the heat against Mexico and Holland, it remains memorable, if not always for the quality of the football.
Anyway, the reason why we are feeling nostalgic is that one of our favourite Twitter accounts, @OldSchoolPanini, has tweeted out some classic football stickers from that World Cup today, and our lads featured.
From Roy Keane, to Packie Bonner, with a little Dennis Irwin thrown in, we’re pretty sure we have some of these up in the attic somewhere.
