Remember the Irish politician with the oversized Jacuzzi? Well, she’s in more trouble

Only a week after being in court because her Jacuzzi was too big, there was more legal troubles for Fine Gael Senator Fidelma Healy Eames today.

If you thought you were having a bad few months, at least you aren’t Fine Gael Senator Fidelma Healy Eames. The Galway politician first hit the headlines in the wrong way when she was busted for travelling on the train to Dublin without a ticket.

She landed in more hot water last week when she had to appear in court in a dispute with her plumber. That case famously boiled down to a bill for an oversized Jacuzzi in her bathroom, which the plumber couldn’t fit, leading to more work, a bigger bill, and a dispute.

But they say misfortune comes in threes and now it seems the Senator had her Mercedes impounded last month.

According to reports today, Healy Eames’ €15,000 Mercedes was taken from her last month for not having a valid tax disc. It is not known if the Senator has paid the tax, and fine, and gotten her car back yet.

The Irish Sun does quote a ‘source’ who says: “She’s been getting the train recently and no-one knew why”. Now they know.
