Republic of Ireland star Kevin Doyle donates to Wexford Youths to keep the team afloat
Wolves and Republic of Ireland star Kevin Doyle has made a five-figure donation to Wexford Youths to keep the team afloat
While Kevin Doyle will be looking to keep Wolves on the up and up in League One this year, it seems that a recent donation from the Wexford native will be helping another team stay afloat in his home county.
Wexford Youths were in a bit of financial difficulty recently and it seems that a generous donation of a five-figure sum from the Republic of Ireland international has kept the team going.
The team's Twitter account has been retweeting those who have been giving their praise for Doyle on Twitter, and the Irish Daily Star has a full report on it in today's paper.
Great news that Kevin Doyle has dug us out of a hole. Short term solution to a long term issue.

Any time Doyle has been interviewed on radio, in the press or on TV, he's always seemed like a really nice guy, and this certainly will help to make sure he keeps that reputation. What a brilliant gesture from Doyle.
