Simon Cox has returned to the Madejski Stadium six years after leaving the club...

Reading have confirmed the signing of Simon Cox from Nottingham Forest on a two-year deal. The forward played 37 times and scored 8 goals for Forest last season and he'll hope the move to the Madejski will see him find the back of the the net on a more regular basis. The 27-year-old, who was a favourite of ex-Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni, returns to his first ever club after a six-year stint away which included spells at Swindon, West Brom and Forest. Cox has been in the Republic of Ireland set-up since 2011 and was part of Martin O'Neill's squad for the friendlies in America earlier this year. Irish fans have never been too convinced by him but any player capable of doing this has something to give... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2MeN4EaPL4
