Sacrebleu! French restaurant creates 'monster burger' in honour of Zlatan
Forget having your name on the team sheet footballers. When you’ve got your name on the menu then you know you’ve really made it.
France, a country reknowned for its tradition of fine cuisine, has now decided to go down the Man vs. Food route as one Parisian cafe has added ‘Le Zlatan’ to its choice of dishes.
The eaterie has decided to pay homage (French for homage) to Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic by creating a 600 gram mince beef burger with onions, bacon and three types of cheese including cheddar, Emmental and Auvergne blue, all contained in a giant bun that has been specially made for the restaurant.
We’ve heard of footballers being hungry for success but this is ridiculous.
According to The Guardian, Jean-Philippe Grandin, the manager of Doddy's Cafe in the Parisian suburb of Boulogne-Billancourt, said he wanted to create "an exceptional burger, which really stands out from the crowd, in the image of Zlatan Ibrahimovic" and has even challenged the Swedish striker to visit the restaurant and finish the monster burger.
One hungry staff member at the cafe claimed that they "managed to eat more than half of it," and would “recommend this burger to everyone. It truly has the strength and power of Zlatan Ibrahimovic," while Grandin went on to add that “even Chuck Norris couldn’t fit it in his mouth.”
Well Monsieur Grandin, we’ve got news for you – Chuck Norris begs to differ.
Reports that Luis Suarez has requested that Branislav Ivanović burgers be added to the menu are, at this point, unconfirmed.
