The Donegal man has just gone on loan to Middlesbrough.
Today is the deadline for loan moves across the water and the most interesting move from an Irish point of view so far regards Shay Given. The 37-year-old has joined Middlesbrough on an emergency one-month loan from Aston Villa as Boro stopper Jason Steele faces a three-game ban following a red card at Leeds. Boro are in 19th in the Championship, so we’ll see if the Donegal man can help them up the table a bit. After a very long time in the cold at Villa Park, we’re sure he’s raring to go.BORO have this evening taken international goalkeeper Shay Given on loan for a month. The 37-year-old Irishman is in the squad for Saturday.
