Sundae Supplement: Suarez to benefit from Real Bale out and sticky situation for James McCarthy

As well as the Spurs accountants, Arsenal could be one of the main beneficiaries of a Gareth Bale move to Real Madrid.

As well as the Spurs accountants, Arsenal could be one of the main beneficiaries of a Gareth Bale move to Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants appear to be offering silly money for the Welshman, and according to many of the papers, that could ultimately seal for deal for Luis Suarez to complete a move to the Emirates.

It would be quite a double whammy to for Tottenham supporters to not only lose their star player, but to see their bitter rivals make a huge signing of intent, but the papers are awash this morning of the likelihood that if Madrid get their man, it is highly unlikely they will make a move for the Uruguayan.

From an Irish front, it looks like the James McCarthy move to Everton is still on the cards, with The Sunday Express going with a figure of £15 million for the midfielder.

If you believe everything you believe in The Sunday People – perhaps not the wisest policy – then Phil Bardsley is set to become Joe Kinnear’s first signing for Newcastle United. He is still looking for a club after being released by Sunderland and at least from Kinnear’s perspective, his surname is more than manageable.

The same paper says that Chelsea will have to fork out £30 million for Wayne Rooney and £15 million for Bayern midfielder Luis Gustavo.

Good ‘ol ‘Arry is looking to bolster his striking options at QPR after missing out on Gary Hooper, with a season-long loan mooted for Conor Wickham.

The best of the rest sees United still linked with some fella called Cesc Fabregas, Titus Bramble struggling to find a new club and West Ham lining up a shock £5 million move for Robert Snodgrass.
