Police have managed to defuse a 'collar bomb' attached to a teenage girl’s neck at a mansion in an upmarket Sydney suburb.
The drama unfolded several hours ago when police were alerted to an 18-year-old at home alone in an upmarket area of Mosman, Sydney.
The case is being treated as an extortion case but thankfully the worst is over as the ‘collar bomb’ attached to the girl’s neck was safely removed.
Four bomb disposal experts spent hours with the girl in a room of her wealthy father’s house before eventually being able to unite her with her parents.
Details are sketchy as to who or how the bomb was attached to the girl but it has emerged that a man in balaclava was seen entering the house prior to the girl calling the police.
