Manchester City’s annual report contains an awful lot of awfully big numbers.
We all know that Manchester City are spending shedloads of cash, but seeing the bald numbers in black and white today is still shocking. The club released their annual report for the 2012-13 season this afternoon, and it is stuffed with lots and lots of frighteningly large figures, and we don’t mean pictures of Costel Pantilimon either.
The biggest number of all is their losses, which were £55.1m for the year. That’s an enormous figure, but it is down from £98m last year. Those who understand Financial Fair Play, like the excellent @SportingIntel, says that they are way over the limits set down.
#mcfc losses for 2 yrs £149.5m. Allowed to lose €45m £38m) for FFP. So c.£110m outside it. BUT can deduct c.£30m for youth + some wages.

Others, like the excellent David Conn, have pulled out the total amount that the club’s owner, Sheikh Mansour, has dropped on transfers.
Manchester City in their annual report show an incredible £610m spent on transfer fees since 2008 when Sheikh Mansour of Abu Dhabi took over

SportingIntel have also broken down City’s wage bill, which might be the most remarkable figure of all.
#mcfc wage bill 2012-13, another new record:£233.1m, or £639,000 a DAY, or £26,600 an HOUR, or £433 a minute.
