There were a few rumours going around the internet saying Apple was to unveil something big on September 10 and now it looks like those rumours were true.

Apple has sent out invitations for an upcoming event being held in Cupertino, California and while the invitations (below) don’t reveal much, tech gurus are expecting to see a lot in the form of a new flagship iPhone 5S, the latest version of iOS, along with a ‘budget smartphone’, rumoured to be the iPhone 5C.

Now, the invites don’t really give anything away, but Apple-watchers have been deconstructing the image all day and some of the theories include: ‘multiple coloured dots could mean a range of new phone colours’, while the tag line “This should brighten everyone’s day” ‘could relate to the new budget phone’.

However, it is Apple we’re talking about, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens on September 10.
