The weather and budget according to the poet Gerry Adams

The weather and the budget. You would struggle to find two topics Irish people give out about more and with that in mind Gerry Adams went on a poetic rant this morning.

Obviously his rant was confined to 140 characters, so he had to be a little creative – mash the words together – but he got his point across.

Yesterday’s budget was an easy target for a man in opposition to the Government, so it was of little surprise that the Sinn Fein leader voiced his displeasure at yesterday’s announcement.

And with the weather miserable to say the least, this added fuel to Gerry’s fire, though he decided to show some poetic licence to highlight his frustrations.

Adams as we know has one of the most colourful Twitter accounts, from discussing hurling to talking about his two homosexual teddybears tying the knot, so he is nothing if not consistent.
