No we haven’t forgotten about it yet and yes, it still hurts, it would appear.
The former Arsenal and France striker, who is still doing his stuff in the MLS for the New York Red Bulls, was the latest player to take part in the extremely precarious practise of a Twitter Q and A, which, as most of us by now, is very often used by Twitter users as a means to abuse the person involved. Just ask Michael Carrick, for example.
As you would expect, Henry was asked a lot of questions about Arsenal, about Barcelona, about the goals he’s scored and the players he’s played with and against, but quite a lot of Twitter users in these parts were more interested in asking him, or in most cases, reminding him about the infamous handball in Paris that cost Ireland a place in the 2010 World Cup.
Time, it seems, doesn’t quite heal all wounds.
