Day Two of the actual Transfer Window and it looks like Jose Mourinho is ready to give his Chelsea side a massive revamp.

Welcome back Jose. There are no less tha five Chelsea transfer stories spread across the newspapers today. Even if only half of them are true, it will be a very different Blues side we’ll see next season.

The biggest splash regards a reported £20m bid that Chelsea will make for Wayne Rooney if the striker decides he wants out of Old Trafford. Rooney is supposed to be having talks with new/old gaffer David Moyes today where his future will, no doubt, be ‘trashed out’. If he opts for the exit, Jose fancies him, though it may just be the Special One’s way of trying to upset Moyes as he settles in. We’re sure we’ll hear more about this one later today.

But that’s only the tip of the big Chelsea-shaped iceberg. The Daily Express report that Chelsea are also in the market for the very exciting Stephan El Shaarawy. The lad they call the Pharoah was sensational for AC Milan last term so to prise him away will cost a reported £30m, but aged just 20 he could be worth every penny.

Building on that story, talkSPORT reckon that Chelsea will try and sweeten the El Shaarawy deal by offering Fernando Torres in exchange.

And sadly for the Confederations Cup’s top marksmen, that’s not the only place he’s being hawked to. The Independent report that in a bid to get Edinson Cavani from Napoli, Chelsea offered the striker PLUS £42.8m. Incredibly, or maybe not so incredibly, Rafa Benitez said no.

And finally, in our Chelsea special, Bayern Munich fancy taking David Luiz off to the Bundesliga, according to the Mail.

With all that business behind us, we can now look at some real business. Arsenal have, and you won’t believe this, signed a young French player. Confirmed yesterday and in all today’s papers, 20-year-old Yaya Sanogo has been signed from Auxerre and he will join up with Arsenal when he finishes with the French Under 20 squad at the U20 World Cup.

In other news it seems that Manchester United will go for Leighton Baines after all (Star), Tom Huddlestone could be off to Sunderland for £5m (London Evening Standard) and in news to chill the blood of all Hammers fans, Titus Bramble is training at the club (Telegraph).

Finally, the man that is the answer to almost all football trivia questions, Nicolas Anelka, could be about to add a sixth Premier League team to his CV as West Brom are looking at the 34-year-old free agent.
