Could Liverpool be set to sign two high profile strikers?

Liverpool are reportedly in advanced negotiations with former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o despite the fact that Mario Balotelli should complete his move to Anfield later on Saturday.

Balotelli’s move from AC Milan has been agreed between all parties and now the Italian just has to pass his medical.

However, both the Mail and The Sun report that Eto’0 is also set to join up with Liverpool as Brendan Rodgers finally replaces the departed Luis Suarez (not to mention the soon to be forgotten Fabio Borini and corner taking’s Iago Aspas).

AC Milan want Fernando Torres to replace Balotelli

While this is not one that we can see happening given Diego Costa’s recent injury problems and Didier Drogba’s age, there’s talk on Saturday morning that Milan want to bring Fernando Torres to Italy.

Despite being 30 and failing to ever hit the same heights at Chelsea as he managed at Liverpool, this one makes a lot of sense given the slower game in Italy.

Torres has lost yards of pace in the last three or four years but that hasn’t put off Milan, who are also looking at Javier Hernandez and Roberto Soldado.

Di Maria makes eyes at Manchester United

If Ed Woodward is looking for any kind of leeway from United fans, he needs to make this happen.

Angel di Maria has signalled his intention to leave Real Madrid following the signing of James Rodriguez, and Woodward thinks both he and Sami Khedira would fit in very nicely at United thank you very much, especially given the dead end that has been the Arturo Vidal interest.
