Micah Richards wants a move, either permanently or on loan.

The Daily Express kick things off this morning with a report that Manchester City’s forgotten man, Micah Richards wants to leave so as to help his career. With only a year remaining on his contract, interested clubs have been put off by the £7m price tag placed on him.

So, he is asking the powers that be to allow him to go out on loan so he can remember what playing football is like. Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle have enquired about him and then upon hearing City quoting £7m, they all said together “hahahahahahahahaha”.

Sunderland v Southampton - Premier League

The Times reckon that Southampton defender, Dejan Lovren (pic above) will complete a £20m move to Liverpool this week. The Croatian has been a target for Brendan Rodgers for some time now and will become their 3rd signing this window from Southampton. Unconfirmed reports that they’ve also put in a bid for St Mary’s Stadium.

Levante UD v Real Madrid CF - La Liga

The Daily Star are keeping it scouse,  by telling us that Rodgers is asking Real Madrid the story about Isco (pic above). With Toni Kroos signing and the imminent arrival of one James Rodriguez, it is thought that Isco could be surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu. Liverpool hope to make the Spanish midfielder their 87th signing this summer as Madrid look to recoup some of the cash splashed out on Kroos and Rodriguez.

USA v Portugal: Group G - 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil

Arsenal are in the transfer rumours with some gusto this summer. Having signed Alexis Sanchez, the press obviously feel that they are a new animal and will bid for anything that moves. Today’s link concerns, William Carvalho from Sporting Lisbon. The player, long linked with Manchester United has been the subject of a £24m bid from the Gunners according to the Telegraph, but the Portuguese rejected it on the basis that Arsenal want to pay it in two instalments. They want to pay a fiver now and the rest when they see if he’s good enough…..allegedly.

Manchester United v Southampton - Premier League

The Daily Mirror continue with the pillaging of Southampton with news that another of their players, Morgan Schneiderlin could be off to Tottenham once they’ve completed the signing of Ben Davies from Swansea. The French midfielder has also been linked with Arsenal, but is said to prefer a move to Spurs so as to link up with former boss, Mauricio Pochettino. Southampton, at this point in time have four players and two of them are under-15s.

In other news, West Ham want Inter Milan midfielder Saphir Taider and Malaga’s Portuguese full-back Vitorino Antunes on loan, QPR want Stephen Caulker whereas Everton are close to signing 18-year-old midfielder Brendan Galloway from MK Dons.

We’re off to give Southampton a dig out and sign for them.
