A Chilean player dominates today’s transfer talk, with news of his imminent arrival in England.

Arsenal fans are doing a mass conga line of joy around the Emirates with the news of the imminent signing of the brilliant Chilean, Alexis Sanchez, from Barcelona in a deal worth £30m according to Talksport.

Sanchez is expected to sign for Arsenal as soon as today. Liverpool were also chasing his signature and he has agreed to give them an autograph in his full Arsenal kit when the signing is announced.

Shamrock Rovers v Liverpool - Post Season Friendly

Lucas Leiva (pic above)  is a relieved man this morning.

Relieved that he wasn’t part of the Brazil squad at the World Cup. The Daily Express are saying that Liverpool are prepared to let the Brazilian leave so as to fund their move from Southampton’s Dejan Lovren. Napoli are being touted as a possible destination, but the Italian club want him on loan first so as to see if they are getting a dud or not.

We need this practice brought into the business of fireworks. JOE has been hoodwinked on several occasions with dud fireworks and would push for a move which allows you to use the merchandise before you buy it.

Anyway, Lucas has also been linked with a move to Inter Milan so, one way or another, it looks as if he’s off to Serie A.

Staying in Italy, Juventus are doing their very best to sign Patrice Evra (pic above) from Manchester United according to the Daily Mail.

The French full-back recently signed a new one year deal with United, but then quickly realised they had shelled out 30m large ones on one Luke Shaw. Juventus have allegedly told Evra “Listen here Paddy, you will be on the bench there you muppet. Here’s £55k a week after tax. Do the decent thing and stop wasting all our times.”

Two words Patrice, ‘pawn’ and ‘Vidal’.

Greece v Cote D'Ivoire: Group C - 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil

The Daily Mirror are saying that Manchester City have no intentions of selling Yaya Toure (pic above) despite the Ivory Coast international seemingly determined to leave. Toure, who is making up different reasons to leave on a daily basis is hellbent on an exit from Manchester.

Today he has blamed City on the cancellation of the Garth Brooks concerts in Croke Park and is taking it as an affront to his very being. The player has openly declared his undying love for PSG so we’re thinking he’ll end up there in a £50m deal any day now.

The same paper are also reporting that Tottenham Hotspur, the club with no scouts of their own, are planning on hijacking Liverpool’s move for Belgian striker Divock Origi (pic above).

Origi has been the subject of a £9.8m bid from Liverpool who plan to loan him back to Lille for the season. Spurs are hoping to offer him Premier League football straight away and have barged into the room hosting the talks between Liverpool and the player with stockings over their heads shouting ‘Okay, everyone on the floor now. This is a hijack. If everyone just plays along, nobody gets hurt.’

In other news, West Brom are interested in Australian full-back Jason Davidson according to the Birmingham Mail and Sky Sports are reporting that American full-back DeAndre Yedlin is being chased by Roma and Napoli.

Right, we’re off to buy some fireworks.
