After yesterday’s revelations on Uruguayan radio, Luis Suarez has made his come-and-get-me plea pretty clear, while a genuine football club is trying to buy Gervinho

Luis Suarez was on radio in Uruguay yesterday, and he made it fairly clear that he was only returning to Liverpool “on principle”, which sounds like a big, steaming “I want out, someone please bid for me” plea. On one level, that’s the usual protocol, but it could also suggest that no one has yet matched the club’s valuation of the player, or indeed that no one has made an offer yet. Interesting times for Suarez.

Remember Nicklas Bendtner? Well times have changed for the lucky pants wearing man, after he has been asked to lower his wage demands to about £1.2 million by Eintracht Frankfurt. Unsurprisingly, Juventus didn’t want to hang on to him, and neither do Arsenal, so he’ll have to be a bit more realistic if he’s to get a club.

Speaking of Arsenal, Gervinho could be on the way out after it looks like Roma have been inquiring about the man with the biggest forehead in the game. Rudi Garcia worked with him at Lille, and hopes he can get the best out of Gervinho again. The Daily Mail are reporting that both a loan or a permanent deal are possible.

Will he stay or will he go? To Cardiff? Tom Ince is the person we’re talking about here, as it seems Blackpool have accepted an £8 million bid for the former Liverpool recruit. The Anfield side had hoped to get the promising young winger back, but that doesn’t look very likely now.

Benteke will almost certainly be on the move after he handed in a formal transfer request, but it seems that Villa want a big pile of money to let the Belgian go, and are happy to sit on the deal for a while as the papers report that they’re going to slug it out in a slug fest for the slugging match that will be the negotiations. We suggest less slugging, more signing.

In other news, Anzhi Makhachkala have been sniffing around Nani, and we presume most Manchester United fans would be happy to let him go. Speaking of letting things go, Fulham might be about to change hands after Mohamed Al Fayed is believed to be looking for potential buyers. Esteban Granero is looking to join the Spanish Armada at Swansea, while Mathieu Flamini is eyeing up a return to the Premiership, but he wants to join a club with title ambitions, stating that he misses England and he wants to win trophies if he gets to go back there. Chelsea have signed Mark Schwarzer in a deal that will see him well paid to sit on the bench and promising US striker Jozy Altidore has made the move to Sunderland.

On the Irish front, Conor Sammon has popped up on Hull City’s radar, and may well be back in the Premier League next season, although they are also looking at getting Carlton Cole. We just hope they know that Sammon actually does have a good touch for a big man and is better on the ground than in the air.
