Here’s the XI that will face the Swedes in that massive game in Aviva Stadium on Friday night.

It’s not quite a must win but it is as close as you can get to being one without being one, if you get me. With Austria and Germany away to come, three points on Friday night in Aviva Stadium would be very, very welcome indeed.

And here’s the team that Giovanni Trapattoni has picked to do that job.

Forde, Coleman, Dunne, O’Shea, Wilson, Walters, McCarthy, Whelan, McClean, Keane, Long

Back in comes Richard Dunne, his first competitive start since the Euros, to partner John O’Shea, while on the wings, James McClean and Jon Walters get the nod.

Glenn Whelan and new Everton man James McCarthy occupy the centre of midfield while up front, Robbie Keane and almost Tiger Shane Long will start.

At the back, Marc Wilson and Seamus Coleman are our full backs, and David Forde is back in the nets.

It looks  a strong, if not too imaginative team. Fingers crossed it is enough to beat Zlatan and Co.
