Twitter legend and pro boxer Curtis Woodhouse is the new manager for Goole AFC
What club is most likely to hire a professional boxer as their manager? Goole AFC of course, whose captain tried to punch a fan this weekend
Goole AFC (no relation to Google, seeing as they spell and pronounce their names differently) are back in the headlines today after an eventful weekend saw them getting a bit of media attention when their captain Karl Colley came over all Cantona and attacked a fan. He has since been sacked by the club.
It's better news today, although still related to punching, as they have decided to hire professional boxer Curtis Woodhouse as their manager. If his name rings a bell (sorry), that might be because he is the Curtis Woodhouse of trolling the troll fame. Woodhouse took to his now infamous Twitter account to thank the club and say that he was excited by this new challenge.
I would just like to confirm that I have accepted he position of manager at @GooleAFC looking forward to the challenge #football

This isn't as random as it might seem however, as Woodhouse was a footballer before turning to boxing, and according to The BBC he has been working as assistant to the now departed manager, David Holdsworth, who left his position after a 3-0 defeat on Saturday to Coalville.
Woodhouse's last fight as a boxer will take place on February 22nd, when he will meet Darren Hamilton for the British light-welterweight title, after which he will be ready to rumble in the footballing world.
