Video: A real classy gesture from Jonjo Shelvey to a young Swansea City fan

Fair play Jonjo, this is a really nice touch.

Fair play Jonjo, this is a really nice touch.

Last weekend, the former Liverpool midfielder went to great lengths to make seven-year-old Harry Jacobs’ day, having arranged for Harry to walk out with him on to the Liberty Stadium pitch ahead of their clash against Southampton as well as putting Harry and his parents up in a hotel and granting them access to an executive box to watch the Swans take on the Saints.

Like Shelvey, Harry has Alopecia Totallis, a condition that causes complete hair loss from an early age and he wrote to Shelvey asking him about his experiences of the condition and requesting that he come to his school to meet him and his friends.

Shelvey responsed by inviting Harry and his family to the game and giving them the VIP treatment and the club captured the experience in a video that should warm your heart this Friday morning.

Well played Jonjo.
