After a tournament that felt like it went on as long as the World Cup itself, the International Champions Cup finally wrapped up last night in Miami’s Sun Life Stadium.
With Liverpool playing Manchester United it was exactly what the organisers would have hoped for the finale and the game wasn’t half bad for a pre-season friendly.
Liverpool took the lead in the first half via a Steven Gerrard penalty but three second half goals, via Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingaard saw United win the game and the trophy.
