Everyone loves a good bench-clearing brawl at a baseball game, so here’s one we saw earlier

There seems to be something about the sport of baseball that simply lends itself to massive brawls, and last night we saw another instance of it in the game between the Diamondbacks and the Dodgers last night.

The whole thing kicked off when Yasiel Puig, who had been having a pretty good game, ended up getting a fast ball right in the kisser, and as the name suggests, it was never going to be a soft impact.

As the commentator points out, his eyes are watering (as would anyone’s), but being a hard b**tard, he gets up, plays on, and then takes his base.

The pitcher obviously wasn’y having a great night though, because for his next move, he decided to ping Zach Greinke in the head, and that is when the huge brawl kicks off, which can be seen in the main video above.

Eventually order was restored and the Dodgers went on to win 5-3. We’ll leave the decision on who won the brawl up to you.

Hat-tip to the lads at Deadspin for the video
