Jose Iglesias took a 95 mph fast ball right in the baby maker today, and he hit the deck
Jose Iglesias of the Detroit Tigers learned the hard way today that you should always wear a cup when playing baseball.
His groin was on the wrong end of a 95mph fast ball from the Kansas City Royals pitcher Danny Duffy, and although he originally tried to keep running to get to the base after failing to bunt properly, he collapses to the ground in agony after just a few steps.
It looks like it hits his groin and then ricochets off his thighs, but one way or another, that has to hurt.
We’re awaiting some footage that’s a little bit clearer since this is just filmed off the TV, and when we do we’ll get it online. Still, you can see why he goes down, and we’re presuming he shouted “argh, my groin” in the process.
