St. Gall’s have carved out a reputation as one of the best teams in the country in recent years and they showed exactly why by snatching a thrilling victory with a brilliant late goal in an Antrim league game last night.
The Belfast side won the All-Ireland club title as recently as 2010 and have held a firm grip on the Antrim county title pretty much since the turn of the millennium but they had to really fight to grind out a victory against Creggan Kickhams in the Antrim SFL last night.
Trailing by seven points midway through the second-half and by five points as the game drew to a close, St. Galls snatched victory from the jaws of defeat with two late goals, the second of which was an absolute belter by midfielder Aodhan Gallagher (skip ahead to 1:20 in the video below).
