Eamon Dunphy and Kenny Cunningham were at loggerheads in the RTÉ studio tonight over the English defence.
Dunphy seemed to believe that John Terry should have been brought back into the England fold and played ahead of Phil Jagielka, while Cunningham (correctly, in our opinion) pointed out that Terry’s presence would have had a divisive effect on the England dressing room.
The argument stopped short of a slanging match as Darragh Maloney stepped in, but we have a very strong feeling that a bit of needle remained when the cameras stopped rolling…
…and Eamon was free to use the most unparliamentary language possible.
Ding ding.
