Video: FA TV take decent bit of skill from Ravel Morrison and turn it into epic slow-mo masterpiece

Ravel Morrison is good and this piece of skill for the England under-21s against San Marino last night is impressive, but to say FA TV went to town on it would be an understatement.

Ravel Morrison is good and this piece of skill for the England under-21s against San Marino last night is impressive, but to say FA TV went to town on it would be an understatement.

Ravel Morrison, much like Hansel in Zoolander, is obviously so hot right now after scoring a wonder goal for West Ham against Spurs at the weekend, showing signs of the potential that went unfulfilled during a difficult spell at Manchester United.

Good as he is though, we don’t know if any player is worthy of the treatment that a little passage of skill he displayed during the 4-0 defeat of San Marino’s under-21s received from FA TV.

While the slow-motion effects help accentuate the quality of Morrison’s skill, the epic music makes it feel as if the San Marino defence are the equivalent of the entire cast of 300, who are all bearing down upon him intent on chopping up those silky feet with no mercy but to no avail.

The music continues to build up throughout the clip, edging towards the climax where you feel sure Morrison is going to score a cracker, but instead plays a through ball to… we don’t know who exactly.

A little bit over the top but a nice idea all the same and may we suggest that if any displays of skill are worth giving the epic slow-motion treatment, it should be ones like these…
