Fabio Borini made himself an instant hero on Wearside with a derby winner over Newcastle and what a goal it was.
After taking an early lead through Steven Fletcher, Sunderland looked a transformed side from the hapless outfit they have been so far this season and took a deserving lead into the break.
However, Newcastle fought back after the interval and a Mathieu Debuchy goal looked to have given the Magpies a share of the spoils until Borini stepped up with five minutes to go to wrap up the three points in spectacular style, moving between the Newcastle midfield and defence before unleashing a rocket of a shot past Tim Krul in goals.
