Video: Gary Neville fairly took Arsenal apart on Monday Night Football tonight

This will make for tough viewing for Arsenal fans, but you’d be inclined to agree with everything the Neviller says here.

This will make for tough viewing for Arsenal fans, but you’d be inclined to agree with everything the Neviller says here.

It’s not easy being an Arsenal fan at the moment. Yesterday’s 3-0 reverse to Everton at Goodison Park was the latest in a series of poor performances and poor results against teams competing with them at the top of the table and Arsene Wenger’s side are now facing a battle to maintain their Champions League status having been in contention for the title not so long ago.

Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher rarely pull any punches in their analysis on Monday Night Football and the Gunners came in for pretty strong criticism for their tactical set-up against Roberto Martinez’s side, who were comfortable winners in the end.

After Carragher had spoken about the lack of pace in the current Arsenal side compared to Wenger teams in recent memory, Neville described them as being “totally confused” at Goodison Park, said that they had “no discipline” and added that they were “outfought”, “outthought” and “outmanoeuvred” all the way through the match.

Tough as it might be to watch, when you see Neville illustrate his points it’s hard to argue with what he had to say and comes only weeks after another ex-Man United player, Paul Scholes, expressed similar sentiments about the current Arsenal side.

Do you agree Arsenal fans?
