India’s Rahil Gangjee scored a hole-in-one on a 318-yard par-4 at the Nationwide Tour’s Mylan Classic, with a driver.
The par 4 hole-in-one at Southpointe Golf Club in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, makes Rahil Gangjee only the third golfer in Nationwide Tour history to hole a par 4.
“I started it off left and let it go to the right and then it bounced and flattened out. I thought I saw the ball roll onto the green but I didn’t see it go in and then everyone around the green went nuts,” said Gangjee.
Ole Gangjee isn’t a stranger to achieving a hole-in-one as this is his second championship hole-in-one and his fourth career hole-in-one. Sorry, did we mention he got a hole-in-one? His first came several years ago in Thailand when he aced a par-3 using a 7-iron.
Gangjee finished the tournament 11 strokes behind the winner Gary Christian, to finish tied for 32nd and earning himself $3,300.
"I was just trying to get it on the green, that was it. When it's a driveable hole, you think you can get it close and maybe make eagle but a hole-in-one, nobody thinks about that."
