Alongside hosts Brazil and Japan, Australia became the third country to qualify courtesy of a 1-0 win over Iraq today.

While the protest movement against the World Cup grows in Brazil the qualifiers continue. The second team to qualify are now Australia, after they secured the win they needed today against Iraq.

The game wasn’t much of a classic according to reports and the 80,000+ who watched the game in ANZ Stadium in Sydney were made to wait until the closing stages for the crucial goal.

Tim Cahill was replaced after 77 minutes and Josh Kennedy was thrown on to get the crucial goal. As you will see below, the Japan-based striker did the trick just six minutes later.
