Laois native Zach Tuohy scored a monster goal from long-range in Carlton’s victory over Richmond in the AFL today, causing the Aussie commentator to get just a little bit excited.

Tuohy is one of number of Irish players more than holding their own in the AFL at the moment and he illustrated just why once again with a magnificent goal at the MCG as Carlton came from behind to defeat arch rivals Richmond.

Tuohy, sporting quite an impressive beard it must be said, struck at a crucial stage early in the final quarter to increase Carlton’s lead from three to ten points with a cracking effort (skip ahead to 3:40 in the video above) from outside 50, or, if the commentator’s excited reaction is anything to go by, about 10,000 miles away in Ireland.

Keep up the good work Zach.
