Video: Ian Holloway is a pretty big fan of You’ll Never Walk Alone

Ian Holloway said he’d happily take a 10-0 loss if he can hear You’ll Never Walk Alone at Anfield

Journalists love to go to Ian Holloway press conferences because he’s always great entertainmnet value, and yesterday’s one before the big game with Liverpool was no different, after he said he’d take a 10-0 loss just to hear the fans at Anfield sing You’ll Never Walk Alone.

If you’re a Crystal Palace fan, then you probably won’t be too thrilled with your manager admitting that he has such admiration for the crowd and the club, or that he wouldn’t mind a drubbing, but he does explain that the song has great sentimental meaning for him and how the crowd once appluaded him and his QPR team off the field after they beat Liverpool in 1991.

Holloway also added that he’s glad he won’t be out on the field and having to deal with Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez, but added that he’s confident his team can deal with them, but we’re sure the two lads would take ten goals if you offered it to them now.
