Different club, same old Bebe…
99.9 per cent of Manchester United fans would rather that it wasn’t the case, but many may have forgotten the fact that Bebe, one of the worst signings made in the Alex Ferguson era, is still on the books at Old Trafford.
He hasn’t played a meaningful game for United in a long time and his most recent spell on loan at Portuguese side Paços de Ferreira has done nothing to suggest that he is going to miraculously turn a corner and make a career for himself at the Premier League champions.
The former Milli Vanilli lookalike gave United fans a taste of what they’re (glad to be) missing last night when guilty of a quite shocking miss in a Europa League tie between Paços de Ferreira and Fiorentina when he tamely presented the ball back to the ‘keeper from six yards out when it seemed easier just to knock it into an empty net.
Over seven million quid for this guy? Bargain.
