In Ukraine over the weekend two teammates made Lee Bowyer and Kieron Dyer’s spat look almost tame, leaving the referee with little option but to show the red card.
The Newcastle pair famously had it out with eachother in 2005, the torn shirt on Bowyer and his facial expression an enduring image. However, these two lads in Eastern Europe put the sparring Magpies to shame. Well, one of them at least.
Hoverla Uzhhorod’s Volodymyr Lysenko – we’ll let the pronunciation to you – was sent off for head-butting teammate Mirko Raicevic after Raicevic said something that did not go down well.
We have no idea what he said, and even if we did, our Ukranian is a little rusty. The referee was left with little option but to send Lysenko for an early bath and we’re guessing the two lads didn’t exactly kiss and make up afterwards.
