Reporter Dom Tiberi suffered the tragic loss of his daughter recently, but he was welcomed back to work in the most fantastic way
The Ohio State University Buckeyes team took it upon themselves to welcome one of their favourite reporters, Dom Tiberi of CBS in Colombus, back to work with a hug, after he had been absent following the tragic loss of his 21-year-old daughter in a car crash.
The whole team wore decals on their uniforms in memory of Maria Tiberi, Dom's daughter, during the game and as they were coming off the field having beaten Wisconsin 31-24, they wanted to let him know that it was good to see him back with this fantastic gesture.
The entire team lines up to hug him, leaving him on the verge of tears. It was a powerful reminder of how fragile life is, that it can be taken from us at any moment, but the communities and friendships that can be formed from simply throwing a ball around on a football field can offer us the strongest support when we need it the most.
