Allan Dixon certainly got the attention of Natasha Exelby, but the Channel Ten newsreader had to apologise after laughing through very serious news.
As we told you here last week, Irishman Allan Dixon won one of the six ‘Best Jobs in the World’ that were on offer in Australia over the last year.
Allan was brought onto Australia’s Channel Ten to discuss his win and it seems that his Irish charms worked their magic on newsreader Natasha Exelby, who certainly took a shine to our man, though she did refer to him as a ‘leprechaun’, so she does lose points for that.
Anyway, after joking about Allan, Exelby then had to go straight into a very serious news round up about the riots in Brazil and a collapsed building in Mumbai but she broke out into a few uncontrolled giggles off the back of her joking about Allan.
Exelby apologised on air shortly afterwards. Who knew how powerful that Irish charisma, or at least Allan’s, is?
